12 Foods Fighters Should Cut Out Immediately!

Some foods are holding your performance back right now…

Not eventually…

Right now…

Here are 12 foods fighters should cut out immediately:

1 – Energy drinks

Not a pre workout. Not a recovery drink. Sugar, caffeine and artificial ingredients that spike and crash your energy mid session.

2 – Alcohol before training.

One or two nights a week disrupts sleep, slows muscle repair and dehydrates you. There is no version of this that helps your training.

3 – Fizzy drinks

Carbonation causes bloating. Sugar spikes and crashes your energy. Diet versions wreck your gut. Cut them all.

4 – Deep fried food before training

Slow to digest. Sits heavy in your stomach. Kills your output before you even broken a sweat.

5 – Cheap processed protein bars

Full of sugar alcohols that cause serious gut issues mid training. If you can’t pronounce half the ingredients don’t eat it before a session.

6 – High sugar breakfast cereals

Starting your training day with a sugar spike that crashes before you even get to the gym is not a fuelling strategy.

7 – Heavily processed meats

Deli meat, cheap sausages, processed burgers. High sodium, low quality protein. Swap for real food.

8 – Flavoured yoghurts

As much sugar as a dessert in a lot of cases. Swap for plain Greek yoghurt. Add your own fruit, nuts and honey.

9 – Fast food more than once a week

Occasional is manageable. Regular fast food as a training diet is high sodium, high fat and low quality fuel.

10 – Low fat products

Almost always high sugar to compensate for the missing fat. Full fat versions of real food are better for trainers.

11 – Heavily salted snacks in fight week

Crisps, processed snacks, salted nuts. Sodium holds water. These have no place for trainers.

12 – Anything new on training day

Your gut doesn’t know it. Your body doesn’t trust it. Never eat something untested on training day.

Ever.

Cut these out now…

Not next week…

Your training, recovery and performance will all improve for it.
